Chat rules
These rules sit alongside the customer terms and the barber agreement. They are a summary. If they differ from those contracts, the contracts win.
Chat is only for the visit
Use in-app messages to arrange the visit that is already booked — the gate, the floor, running late, or a question about the cut. Do not use chat to sell anything, to arrange a cash job outside Trim, or to keep talking after the visit is done. Visit chat is deleted 2 days after the visit.
Keep it respectful
No obscene, harassing, threatening, or discriminatory messages. A barber may end a visit and leave if they reasonably feel unsafe. We may suspend or close an account that breaks this.
Do not share phone numbers or addresses in chat
The app already has the address and the way to reach each other for that job. Do not paste a phone number, a home address, or a social-media handle into chat. That is how private side-deals start, and those are not covered by Trim.
No cash side deals
Do not use chat to offer or accept work outside Trim. If a customer and a barber make a private cash arrangement, none of the Trim terms apply to it, and we cannot help if it goes wrong.
If something is wrong
Use Support in the app, or email hello@trim.my. If you are in immediate danger, call 999 first. We may read a conversation when we look into a complaint, a grievance, or a safety issue.
