House rules

1 min read

This is a short restatement of clauses 16, 17 and 19 of the customer terms. Those terms are the contract. If this page and the terms differ, the terms win.

Get the home ready

A home haircut needs a workable space. Before the visit, make sure someone aged 18 or over can let the barber in, there is a chair and a clear area, reasonable lighting, a power socket, access to water, and pets are secured away from the cut.

If the space cannot be worked in safely and you had not told us in advance, the barber may not be able to finish, and the cut may be used.

Children and anyone under 18

If a cut is for someone under 18, the account holder must be their parent or legal guardian, or have that person's permission, and that child must be named on the plan.

A responsible adult aged 18 or over must be in the home for the whole visit. A barber will not cut a child who is alone. This is a safeguarding rule and we do not make exceptions to it.

How people in the house treat the barber

Barbers come into your home. You and everyone there will treat them with respect, and will not harass, threaten, discriminate against, or behave inappropriately towards them, and will not be under the influence of alcohol or drugs in a way that makes the visit unsafe.

A barber may end a visit and leave immediately if they reasonably feel unsafe. If that happens the cut is used, and we may suspend or close the account.

If you ever feel unsafe during a visit, use the help option in the app, and call 999 first if you are in immediate danger.
